Tourism high school major pilot initiative Launch

Empowering the Next Generation of Hospitality Leaders!

The Belize Tourism Board’s Elevate Training Institute, in proud partnership with international education leader AHLEI (American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute) and San Pedro High School, is excited to launch a tourism high school major pilot initiative in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye!

This initiative, made possible with the support and endorsement of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, will introduce a two-year Hospitality & Tourism Management Program for 3rd and 4th form students, starting September 2025. The program will follow AHLEI’s internationally recognized curriculum, preparing students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in

Belize’s vibrant tourism industry.

The vision is to make this a national Tourism high school major, a bold step toward building Belize’s future tourism workforce!
